The Silicon Valley Tour De Coop is really much more than just a few chicken coops – It’s really a celebration of the pleasures and rewards of living in a sustainable and nature connected environment by everything from coops, bees to solar panels, grey water systems, urban farming and healthy live styles and everything in between.

The 2016 annual Silicon Valley Tour de Coop, a free, self-guided bicycle tours of chicken coops, gardens, bee hives, hoop houses, and coolest Silicon Valley urban homesteads, happened on Saturday, September 15, 2016. 1,937 folks signed up to ride and check out the coops!

Thinking of having chickens? Come to the “Before having chickens” class. You will see what’s involved in keeping them in your backyard, and learn the basic requirements like housing, food, and maintenance.
Want to keep your existing flock happy and healthy? thinking of adding more chickens? Come to the “After having chickens” class. You will see how to enrich your backyard, introduce new chickens to your flock, do health checks, and treat some common injuries and illnesses.

The Fourth annual Silicon Valley Tour de Coop, a free, self-guided bicycle tours of chicken coops, gardens, bee hives, hoop houses, and coolest Silicon Valley urban homesteads happened on Saturday, September 19, 2015 from 9AM to 4 PM.
This year’s coop tour is being sponsored by Slow Food South Bay, local chapter of Slow Food USA. Slow Food South Bay actively promotes our local food communities so that everyone can enjoy food that is good, clean and fair. Click on the icon below to find out more!
